I would consult a dermatologist (go to a woman if possible) who could see exactly why you are getting these poor results. Deaf I suppose. Sight has less limitations regarding getting around, work, and other things I believe. I also think quality of life if blind, for me annyhow, would be much worse than if I were deaf. Just a guess. Obviously I don't know what it's like to lose either of those senses.

For some it is self destructive, for others rebellion or habit. It varies alot from person to person. Fear of change is also very common. Changing what is routine for us, even though harmful is difficult for most people. Quitting smoking (or not) is a good example.

Good question!! But without people using the rating system and participating in AB as a whole, it will become (more) cliquish, lopsided, and the quality will go down. That is one thing AB is trying to avoid at all costs.
