I would consult a dermatologist (go to a woman if possible) who could see exactly why you are getting these poor results. I am sure with todays modern medicine and knowledge, she can give you something or tell you what to do so that you can get rid of the hair somehow (electrically or otherwise), without the side effects you have been experiencing.

Some say that Ab has become a site dedicated to socializing and opinionated banter, do you agree?
I do, and I think if it continues to get any sillier and the questions AB'ers come up with get any more insipid and subjective/personal, that AB's original purpose will go down hill. When people come here to see what questions are asked and how they are answered, they might just go to Yahoo or elsewhere.

OK, so everyone is allowed to use AB.
But I think if you continue to encourage this guy who I personally think has some problems besides being a religious zealot, you are opening yourselves up to attack, alot more posts from him, and it is just not helping him "see the light" (a more rational light) any, if that is indeed possible.

What causes a person to be self-destructive?
I don't know how to reply, because I don't mean if you mean self destructive as in suicide or just "getting in one's on way" and "shooting yourself in the foot" and defeating or undermining the things that a person does.
Either way, it has to do with low self-esteem many times and also fear of success. Those are two common reasons anyhow.

Deaf I suppose. Sight has less limitations regarding getting around, work, and other things I believe. I also think quality of life if blind, for me annyhow, would be much worse than if I were deaf.

I think it is more to give the teachers a break and also to HOPEFULLY give the family a chance to discuss the problem with the kid more than anything else. Not sure much of the latter happens, but it gives them some time to do it at least.

Pacing and panting
In humans, I would say worry, stress, anxiety, agitation and rumination are the logical things. The "panting" part is abit odd, unless the person is *really* worked up emotionally or has a health problem.
If this happens on a regular basis, I'd talk to a doctor about it, since it could be the symptoms of a serious psychological disorder or other things that definitely need the...

Recently I've been trying to calm down when I'm mad, but I'm worried it might not be good for me in the long run. Is there anyway I can suppress my anger without it building up over time?
Not really, if it is something you are REALLY angry about. If it is a small thing and you are just irritated, count, or say to yourself, "This isn't worth getting mad about."
If it is something that has your heart pumping hard, red faced and really pissed, you need to get the anger out in a POSITIVE way. Some people shout, curse, hit a SOFT inanimate object, talk with someone,...

What is the *minimum* age you feel you would want *your own* daughter or son (if and when you have either) to get married? What age do you think is a good average age for people to get married for the FIRST time, if you have an opinion on that?

Go see your doctor or an ear, nose and throat specialist. You could have inner ear pressure or fluid, a viral problem, or other things that only they can test for and resolve. Also, I wouldn't blow with your nostrils closed to force air out. If you have bacteria in the sinuses etc., it can force it into the ear canals and cause alot of problems.

Meat only gets tough when VERY lean and not cooked right or tenderized, or when cooked too long or at too high a temperature. Otherwise ANY kind of meat can be moist and easy to eat. Including organ meats.

If my voice is not hoarse, if it is a business thing or a close friend, I do it by phone.I also use email alot for close friends and others, because it is fast, because some people read their email but won't answer the phone, and email is also not hard on my voice.

Would you rather hang out at a bar or a nightclub.

If I HAD to pick ONE, a nite club I guess. Although I don't drink and cannot stand of smoke, I guess trhe nite club would be the least bothersome to me, plus it would hopefully have entertainment to keep me distracted.

What makes you not like someone?
Above all, insensitivity toward others generally, or being a bigit or prejudiced. I also will not ever get close or stay close to someone who cannot laugh, including laugh at themselves, who is very intolerant, very impatient, rude, very critical, arrrogant or snobbish.
I'm not THAT picky, but I have my standards. :)

Buy through the mail online, (eBay sell them) or at a local sex shop and just hide it well. Most will come in packages that will not tell what is in them. If asked, say it is a Xmas gift for someone. None of their business anyhow, IMHO.

Why do so many people pronounce "ask" as "aks" and am I the only one this irritates?
Or it sounds to me like "Axe." "So and so axed me a question" It seems to be an ethnic or cultural thing. I hear it for some reason 95% of the time from African Americans/Blacks. I have no idea why, except it must be a sociological and cultural thing that many of them hear while growing up. You hear it when they interview football and basketball players alot. Not stupid, but it was probably poor judgment, and legally he could be charged with statutory rape, if you or your parents pressed the issue.

I have eaten in front of the TV (due to the fact that each of the chairs I feel comfortable sitting in face a TV) for about the past 10 years with maybe 2-3 exceptions, and also the times I was in a hospital. But even in the hospital, the TV was up on the wall in front of me. :)

Only if you feel that the Bible is 100% true, and your faith and what you believe makes it such that you feel if you do not follow the Bible and what it says 100%, you will be a sinner, be doing wrong, etc. It's your CHOICE how much if any, to believe when it comes to the Bible.

How powerful do you believe is the human mind, or does it have any power at all?
The mind is all powerful in the body, and some believe beyond the body. It controls everything we do, think, and say. If it is "cultured" and used properly, it can help us heal and grow and learn all kinds of insights about ourselves and the world around us that we would not otherwise know.
The mind is pure energy and wisdom, waiting to be used as a connection to higher things.

I would do what I could with medication if necessary to visit them off and on, and if it was a close friend they would know I had a tough time with death etc.
I would talk with them daily or as often as I could and as often as they wanted. At the end, I would visit them more often no matter how much I had to medicate myself. And I would be with them if I could when they died.

If you had a fatal illness, would you want the doctor (s) to tell you how long you had to live so you could make proper arrangements (Will, etc) & do what you wanted to do while you still could, or would you prefer not to know & take it a day at a time?
I would want to know a RANGE time wise. I am well prepared legally, but would like to be able to do some other things and spend money or sell/give things to some people I would otherwise hold onto if I were not dying. And that could take some time to do all of that.

If a partner has a temper and has been verbally and physically abusive in the past, and they stated that they want to change it, is that possible, and if so, what is the first step?
They can change, but it will take counseling and a VERY strong motivation and desire on their part to change what has already become a deeply entrenched behavior. They have to admit to what they are doing also and realize the dangerous and negative implications and effects on others.
Without professional help, chances are slim and none. So be careful.

Same as the space shuttles, and other very expensive things the US Goverment funds annually that do little if anything to help increase the quality of life for Americans, especially those who are starving, or who are dying of diseases without cures where they need money to fund RESEARCH (like stem cell research).

Why does your nose turn red when it's cold outside? Is this similar to how a flower's colors are brighter when grown in cold weather? (Can't find this online, HELP! I need to know this for tomorrow)
Blood flowing to the nose to keep it warm. But you are losing blood from the extremites (hands, feet). Over time they will all lose color and then frost bite can set in quickly because blood is going to the heart and organs instead of the face and other areas like ears and nose.

No, and they ought to have to take a VISON, written, hearing and driving test every year after age 70 or so, IMO. Huge numbers of severe or deadly accidents are caused by drivers over age 70-75 each year.

Unless the nerves in your body are "hyperexcited," due to injury, or unless you have some neurological or neuromuscular disorder, generally heat (esp. moist heat) is used to soothe and relax muscles. Also, negative or unhappy events or times are things most people try to forget or "get over," and usually some part (sometimes a large part) of those things are still lingering in out mind, our subconscious, or our conscious mind, if was a really bad event or incident.

Do you think its healthy for couples to fight every once in awhile?
If they fight in a healthy way, where one person does not "win" and the other person feels like the loser, it is not only healthy, but it is very common.
Talking and communication is vital to keeping an intimate relationship/marriage going long term and to it being healthy. Fighting or arguing is a form of communication. It ceases to be HEALTHY communication when there is abusive...

Doesn't really matter if the guy was handsome, well endowed or not. That is not the problem here.

I get angry with myself and irritated with others these days. I can start to get angry when something happens, but it is short lived, and usually I just shout out a quick expletive, and then try to fix whatever is causing me to feel upset. Becoming angry and staying angry only makes things for me more difficult.
I acknowledge I am pissed off or angry, I put it into some sort of perspective...

Guy's - Have ever received flowers from a lady (girlfriend or wife)? Why? How'd you feel about it?
Yes, a few times. I enjoyed it very much. I got them for a prom date once (a flower). I got them for my 30th birthday. I got them "just because" a couple of times.
It was very nice. I got a plant or two also from women over time, and they are even nicer because I was able to keep them. They did not die within a week or so like the flowers did.
I like the fact that a woman feels...

Grocery stores are the best place, but check your local newspapers or free classifieds and I would bet you will see jobs for 15 year olds. Use the Yellow Pages and the phone and call to see if they have any openings. Sometimes, if you have a willing person to drive you around, going in-person (dressed so you look like a responsible 15 year old someone would want to hire) and asking to speak to...

I would be very happy that your son now knows the names of both his parents, instead of only one! Also, quite often the mother is simply around the baby more early on, so it is natural for him or her to use the mother's name or say "mama" rather than Dada. You wouldn't want your son to call you Da-da would you?
There is enough confusion with gender etc. when children...

At what age(s) are you most likely to get pregnant? When are you the least likely?
It is different with each woman. It depends on many factors including where you are in your cycle, and also your stage of hormonal development. As soon as a girl reaches puberty and has eggs that can be fertilized (some as young as 10-11 or before) she can become pregnant. In Africa and other cultures, there are girls in the age 11-13 age group who are pregnant.

From close to her vagina yes. The Bartholin's Gland is one of two small glands on each side of the labia minora, **just outside of the opening to the vagina.** They secrete a lubricating fluid, whenever the clitoris or another part of the woman's body is touched or otherwise stimulated and she becomes sexually aroused/turned on.

Yes. Unless it is around something that would seriously compromise my core values and ethics, I would much rather be happy than "right."
(Excellent "life question," by the way. If more people apologized or "gave up the bone" instead of trying to "win" in an argument or dispute, there would be so many more healthy relationships in the world - political,...

NO. Too many people, too much hype and way too much noise. I dislike malls in general, but that has to be the most commercial and over stimulating place I have ever been. I am just glad I could find the exit after two hours.

Answer to:
Why does the united states send so much foriegn aid to other countries when there are soo many still doing with out in the united states?
In you ever ride a train cross country you will see how many people in the us live in tin shacks ...
why?
I think it is mostly due to politics and political decisions, and the United States' belief that we must take care of other countries in many very expensive ways, even when we have the large number of starving, impoverished and needy people here in our own country.
While I am in favor of helping others, I think we need to do it AFTER we are in good shape first, and we haven't done...

Well, look at what the past year has been like for the world, and for many people personally.
I think this past year, after all the wars and death and other very depressing things that have gone on and are still LOOMING out there for many people, it is certianly not abnormal to feel less enthusiastic this year.

I think I speak for all girls when I say that we hate to be ignored by someone we fancy, especially if they're ignoring us on purpose. Do guys feel the same way?
I would venture to say that most men feel the same way. If we like someone it is not fun and can be frustrating, irritating, depressing and a real ego deflater if someone we like is ignoring us on purpose. Especially if we already have established even a small friendship or relationship with them and we thought everything was headed in the right direction! Yes, it can be a bummer.

What is the steamiest or hottest love scene from a movie you have seen? Descibe it.
What has to be one of the steamiest in recent years I can recall was when Diane Lane and Paul Martel (the artist) got it on in the movie "Unfaithful" (2002). If you recall, Richard Gere was the husband who found himself being a cuckold for awhile.
There were several steamy scenes in that movie actually.

Have you ever broken a window? ( smashed, shattered)
I have broken windows with rocks, a baseball, a BB gun, a bullet, a rifle butt, my hand, a ladder, my elbow, my foot, and once I fell through one. I broke a car windshield with my head and body once.
I try to stay around tempered glass as much as possible.
Positive note: I have only had 10 stitches as a result of any of those events. The glass came out on the losing end most of the time.

The other my boyfriend and I got into a fight. He told me that he hated me, that he didn't love me anymore, that he never wanted to see me again. We have recently made up, but should I be worried?
People who are friends or lovers or both, often say things in anger or frustration (or even great excitment or pain) that they do not really mean, or that are more dramatic than is truly the case.
I remember telling my parents "I hate you" many times as a child when I was very angry. It's not that different as an adult, although unless the person is drunk, on drugs or having a...

I carry a 9mm Mossad Tanfolio handgun. Is it OK to fully load a 9mm cartridge or should I leave a couple bullets out to preserve the spring in the magazine?
I was always told to either alternate clips or keep 2-3 out of the clip so as not to put full load on the spring. That said, I agree that the newer metals used are stronger and it should not be a big issue. Personally, I keep 2-3 out unless I am going to be using it. Maybe I don't need to, but it gives me piece of mind and I HATE jams.

What does the saying, "Don't cut off your nose to spite your face" mean?
One of my parents favorites.
It means doing something that is NOT in your best interest, just out of spite or to be a martyr. You think you are making others feel sorry for you or punishing them, but you really aren't.
Generally, it is considered childish or at best, not well thought out behavior.

In the 1960's (OK OK, all you young members can laugh) I was in France going to school. A friend and I sneaked into some sort of military base, and just walked around for awhile during the day. France has never had a real smart military, but I could not believe we did not get caught. If we had I am sure we would have been deported and maybe worse! We even took photos which I still have!
