On startup the fans hum, the 2 dvd lights come on and stay on but the pc does not go to the bios screen, in fact the monitor says "no signal" I've tried reseating
That sounds similar to what happened to me:
When I would turn on the computer, the light around the power symbol would turn on, and you would hear the fan hum, but only for a matter of seconds. Then everything would shut back down.
And here's what the problem was -
My motherboard crashed.

Hi! In case you haven't noticed, anyone who's reading this, I'm actually the asker of this question. And, I'm pleased to say that after asking this question I found the answer for myself! I know it's long, but it's worth it.
Yes, it involves the death of a Sim. If you're not okay with killing any of the Sims that were on that lot, make a new one and move it in just to kill it.

How much is too much? When it comes to eating, exercise, and walking the dog?
Now, I'm not an expert. But from my own experience and research, I believe that there's no such thing as "too much exercise" as long as you still have energy. Eating varies on how much you exercise. There are several websites which can tell you your daily caloric needs, even including how much you exercise. (Of course, you need to be very specific. I think that there's one on...

I need help with chainé turns. We have to do about 5 in a row, in, I don't know, somewhere from 3-5 counts. Sorry this is vague, just if you have any tips?
- Try to keep your feet in first position.
- Don't try to do whole turns; it's multiple halves.
- Keep your arms firm and in first position.
- Spot something! VERY important!
- Keep your back straight; pretend that there's something pulling you up that disallows you to move your body to the side.

Without using my arms; I definitely can't do it. But I figure that if you would want to teach yourself to do it, start by using all of your leg and abdomen muscles and holding it at the highest that it can go for as long as you can. Try pushing it up while your there.

What exactly is modern dance?
If your asking who created it, the answer is Isodora Duncan. She was the very first contemporary dancer.

Where in cairo can i begin taking ballet classes?
I don't have any specific answers, but ask around. There has to be someone in your area that has taken ballet classes at some point. Also, try making some calls to the Cairo Opera Ballet; or some other companies like that. I'm sure that you can speak to someone and figure out where they had their classes.

Can you tell the difference between the sound of Gaynor Minden pointe shoes and Block? I just saw a ballet with both and it was odd indeed.
I can't hear the difference; in fact you shouldn't be able to hear much at all. But in my first year of pointe I wore Blochs...they do sound quite noisy.
Anyway, though I can't hear the difference, I can certainly see it, and see why it would be odd. Blochs are so...clunky.

Black and Gold. It isn't exactly upbeat, but it's totally fun. And I find that if you can choreograph a fitting dance, it really makes an impact on the audience.
Or try Sparkling Diamonds; the Moulin Rouge version of Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend. It's really awesome, and I find that it has a bit of an empowering message to women.

There are several types. Mainly, the type is determined by foot placement and the preparation.
The main one is "Pirouette". These begin in a plie and relevee into a straight supporting leg and working leg in retiree; both legs turned out. However, there are some who classify a 360-degree pirouette as a "balance", and only classify pirouettes as turns like such with at least...

Why do ballet dancers dance on their toes? Why doesn't the company just hire taller dancers?
Pointeman was spot-on. I would just like to add:
Initially, ballet dancers did not stand on their toes. They stood on the balls of their feet, much like one would to peer over a ledge. However, it looks much more graceful and completes the lines of the legs of the ballet dancer better if they are in pointe shoes. Pointe shoes are shaped aesthetically, so, like I said, they complete the lines...

Why do Christians have such a hard time admitting that they REALLY don't know if there is a God/Heaven?
It's all part of Believing. If you just say "Well, ya know, I don't know about this. I just go to church every Sunday cause I'm supposed to, etc etc", then it isn't very Christian at all. It's not uncommon to go to Sunday mass and hear the preacher speaking about why it is so important to believe without seeing - to know without knowing.

Ok, why do dogs like chewing up shoes? & when you buy them a "toy shoe" to chew on .... They still chew up your shoes.... Why is that?
My dog never chewed shoes, but I'm pretty sure that if any do, it'll only be while they're puppies. They're teething, and therefore are going to chew on things that are, well, chewy. Also, I'm not sure but I assume that it also has something to do with shoes having your scent on them.

Answer to:
Whats the installation code for the sims 1 superstar, i lost the manuel
Each copy has a different code. So, you really should try to find the manual because otherwise you can't quite install it. If you seriously can not find it, you could try emailing Maxis. Maybe if you still have the box send them the bar code? It would tell them that you did purchase a copy and maybe it would help them find the missing installation code.
Answer to:
My sims superstar keeps crashing just as i click on a house im not sure why? if i reinstall it will i lose everything? will reinstalling it even work?
If it's one particular house, then it's probably that the file size is too big for your game/computer to handle. Chances are you can still play the family, just move them out of the house and place them in another lot. However, if loading the family still doesn't work, there may be another error.

I don't have Pet Stories, so I can't answer your question. Another reason for that would be that your question got cut off - you're going to want to summarize and re-post it.

In sims 2 how do you become a vampire or a witch? I heard if you do that matchmaker thing and get a high relationship with a vamp or a witch they will turn u into 1 is that true?
No, that's not true. The only time that the matchmaker is involved with vampires or witches is when you call her to your house to buy a potion from her to cure your vampirism/witch-iness. You need both expansion packs - 2(NightLife) for Vampires, and 8(Apartment Life) for Witches. I really couldn't tell you how to get Witches, because I don't have AL. But I can tell you all about...

Well. I'd say that I'm a "smart feller", but I sometimes mix up my pronunciation of words, and I'd probably end up saying that I'm a "fart smeller".

Answer to:
What do you call male ballet dancers?
Alatea said it right. But dancer is unisex and not limited to one dance category, whereas danseurs are specifically male ballet dancers. (To tell you the truth, I think it'd be better if ballet dancers of both sexes were simply called, well, ballet dancers. The other genres don't have pretty names in other languages; it isn't fair.)
Answer to:
Does ballet have a place in martial arts training?
Definetely. "the artist formerly known as triorion" has a good point - those are all applied and accquired in both. And if you're interested in both, you could try some Capoeira - it's a dance form based on martial arts.

Answer to:
What would make ballet more exciting?
1) If somehow everybody could appreciate the tremendous effort that goes into every little step
2) A more contemporary kind of ballet which is more acrobatic. Not like doing flips, because that's not at all classical, but some steps that already showcase flexibility would show even more.
3) A bit more of a focus on the Principal Dancers (AKA Prima Ballerinas). I know it seems rude to the...

If I am getting married and have to dance the dance with my mom, who do I dance with, my bio-, whom I haven't seen for five years (but am obligated to invite) or my step mother that I am closer to than my biological mom? Perhaps I should skip the dance?
I like suzycue's idea. However, I think that really you are obligated to ask your birth mother first. Can you imagine the drama that would erupt if you didn't? Anyhow, just dance with her for a little bit, and then you're free to dance with your step mother as long as you like (well, not too long:P)

No way. That would change everything! I've got my regrets, and I've got a few thing's I'd like to change in the world, but if we just went back and magically stopped all of our problems from happening, nobody would be smart because they'd have no mistakes to learn from.

What do you do if The Sims 2 Pets freezes?
Now, I'm not sure if you mean your computer freezing (everything stops working. The monitor and computer do not turn off - but nothing that you do makes a difference) or if the game crashes (you get a little pop-up saying "The application has crashed. It will now terminate."). If it freezes often, you can delete some unneccesary things on your computer - for example, applications...

In the sims 2 collage, how do you become a member of a secret society? Also how do you keep them from dissapering when you place it into a lot?
Thank you bowlermommy07 for your description about Greek Houses. However, Secret Societies are totally different.
The reason that your Secret Societies keep disappearing is because they must remain secret. Maxis has done something so that soon after they are placed, they disappear from neighbourhood view.
In order to get your Sim into a Secret Society, they must befriend 3 current members of...

I downloaded some sims 2 hair and clothing content into my EAgames downloads folder. I have already downloaded WinRAR, but I still cannot open my content files. Is there anyway that I can fix this problem?
Lol, I came across this problem too. Are you sure that you installed WinRAR? If you don't remember going through the installation process (all that you did is download it), you probably didn't install it. No worries, though. All that you have to do is double-click and do everything it tells you to do. It's all idiot-proof, so you should be done in a minute. Then your .zip and...
