I think they are misunderstood. The Book of Revelation was written as a message to hope to the small group of Christians who were being oppressed by the Romans. It was hope that they would be liberated and freed and their oppressors would be punished. So I don't read into it a whole lot...

My high school did Atlantis a few years ago. I don't remember what the music was exactly, but at the end, they had a big blue sheet cover up the entire band on the field so it was like the band getting covered by water. It was pretty cool. Good Luck!

Yes but not as hard a time as other people. When I'm in classes where spelling counts, I write my papers in cursive, so it's pretty hard to prove that I spelled anything wrong...you just can't tell.

I don't really think it's any of those things. I don't think of the Kingdom of God as a reward really but rather an imminent reality. So the only thing that could keep one out is just not wanting to be there in the first place.

I'm pretty sure that the covenant or communion between the ELCA is between the PC(USA), not the PCA. The PCA is a rather conservative Presbyterian denomination, while the PC(USA) is more moderate to liberal and is involved more with other denominations. Without looking again at the terms...

Symbolically. It was written to the Christians being persecuted in Rome and was a message of hope that they would be set free and their oppressors punished. So I just kind of get this sense of hope out of it. Kind of a hope for not only a peaceful world but also a just one.

Maybe rather than just walking up to someone and start talking to them, talk to people who you work with in your classes because you already have something in common with them--the class you are taking. Just be nice and pleasant and you'll get to know people.

Yeah, I consider Jesus a Jew in both the ethnic and religious sense. I don't think he ever meant to found a new religion but rather fulfill the prophesies of Judaism by being their messiah...Just not all of them accepted him as who he said he was.

Your chances of getting it are pretty much 0 because a lot of your blood has to come into contact with his blood. Saliva doesn't carry it in a capacity to transmit it to you.

It does rain, but I wouldn't say a lot. Because of the rain shadow affect, clouds coming over the Olympic Mountains are about out of water when they reach Seattle. So it's cloudy a lot, but it doesn't rain a lot.

Films are often made "on location". Does your home town (where you grew up) or your current town/city have any "claims to fame" because a movie (or 2 or 3) was made there?

Leatherheads with George Clooney and Renee Zellweger was filmed partially in my home town, Statesville, NC. The downtown district was made to look like early 20th century Duluth.

I suppose some novels just take a long time. Take "The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova. It took well over 10 years to complete, but it was a huge hit. Good luck to you though.

It depends. Sometimes I bathe on short trips. I went backpacking this summer and went 8 days without bathing. Luckily I was able to before I got on the plane to go home.

that's tough because most of the really good sleeping bags are 'Mummy Bags' and are narrow at the end, but you could probably find a square one. But a 20-30 degree bag should be fine for moderate weather. Kelty makes some good ones.

I like to project an image of myself as an 'outdoors' type since I backpack and camp and hike, but to be honest, I find it really hard and not very relaxing.

I was older and definitely the torturer. But it wasn't my fault he was so gullible. I once convinced him you could tell time by holding you're hand up to a cell phone tower...he was 13.

Yeah I like to hang out with the old people as much as with people my age. I had a great aunt that died this summer, but she was hilarious. She couldn't remember what she ate for lunch, but she could crack jokes like nobody else. She was a little over 90 when she died.

Get out when it starts, or even before. A lot of people don't realize it, but if there's any remote danger involved, you can get in touch with the Department of Social Services. They are trained to help you make a plan and can council you on what to do.

I agree with the other answers. Christening has more to it than just religious faith, it is just as importantly a sign of support from people who will help raise the baby. It is said that "it takes a village to raise a child" and a Christening is kind of the way of saying to the baby...
