I don't think that the "minimum" depends on the maturity of the person, not their age. My mother-in-law, who was very supportive signed a waiver for her and gave her away (since her father passed).

Getting a divorce can have her deported because she wouldn't be able to renew her green card. Even if her green card hasn't expired, depending how long you've been married, Immigration might see it as she got married just to come here. So she can lose her green card.
