What type of bowling ball is good for wood lanes?

When I bowl on wood lanes, I like to go with something that gets downlane further before hooking. Since wood lanes have more friction, this allows the ball to read the lane later and not have too strong of a hook.

I prefer anything of brunswick, especially the fury line (i.e. fury, fury pearl). They tend to hook a little earlier, which helps on synthetic lanes that sometimes hook a little less.

it would be a foul ball because it hits in fould terrioty past the 1st or 3rd base bag. it would be a similar case if a batter bunts and it rolls foul but has spin that causes it to go fair before the ball passes the bag or is touched by a defensive player then it is a fair ball. i have actually...

there are actually a couple reasons. it just depends on the type of bowler u are. if u are a more serious bowler/one that really tries to bowl their best, then they watch it to see the reaction downlane and see how it curves and where and how and so on. a casual/recreational bowler might watch it...

i would say the tornado reactive, or if u throw it pretty hard with not too much rotation, the clash. both hook later if they are drilled right and the have less overall hook, but still have good pin carry.

a danger zone is a very strong ball. if you want to go a good notch down, a groove ball would be good. they hook later and less. an intense inferno isn't a bad option either, with its strong backend.

there really is no "trick" to it. what usually happens in that case is a bowler with hit the 2 or 3 pin very well, and the pins bounce off the back and fall forward. it is not too likely, but not too too rare either.

it rather depends on what the handicap is being taken from. such as 90% of the difference between your game average and 200, or 100% or 220. if it is 90% of 200, then your handicap would be 41 (or 42 if they round up).

The reason it may be hard is because you haven't developed the wrist strength to control the ball with the fingers and the thumb. As you start to bowl with the thumb, your wrist and forearm start to get stronger and used to the ball. If the ball is too heavy, your arm may be sore a couple...

No, you cannot score if you are called for a charge. A charge is called when the defensive player has his body squared or his feet set and the offensive player knocks him over. A blocking foul is called if the defensive player was moving and was knocked over.

well, there are a couple i would suggest. for the best chances, 100% of 220 would be the most likely and most helpful possibility. but, you might be able to get 100% of 230. i have seen ridiculous things before in handicap, however. i've seen things from 80% of 190, to 100% of 240. but 100%...

a bender is a term used for a bowler that throws a wide hook and the ball looks like it bends back to the pocket. what happens is they throw it with about a 75 degree tilt on the ball and it rotates back to the pocket slowly, which causes it to look like it "bends" back to the pocket.

I hope it was not Brett Favre's last game. You know, he's 143 years old, and he's still not doing too bad. He needs just a little help on the team, and they could make the playoffs next year (especially if the NFC is as bad as it was this year).

The ball can be lateralled to I believe, a quarterback, fullback, halfback/running back, tailback, tight end, slot receiver, or a receiver in motion. I think he cannot lateral it to another offensive lineman that is an ineligible receiver. But this is only if it is a snap/the ball is being hiked....

Normally the quarterback will lift his leg in the air to where the center can see it, if the verbal count or snap was not heard. I do not know this for fact, but I believe it is a silent count in shotgun formations.

No it is not allowed to cross the line of scrimmage, then go behind it, and make a forward pass. He would be given a penalty for illegal forward pass if it were to occur. As said above, the ball can still be lateralled/thrown backwards.

The play is ended when he is down by contact (hit, tackled, touched, etc.), out of bounds, or he goes into a slide. This is only situations for the QB to be down. He could also fumble or throw an interception if behind the line of scrimmage.
