    It can be. But it is also an exercise regimen. It really depends on who is teaching it and why.

    yoga is not a religon but originates from one, they use candles and aromas to relax the muscles and strenghthen them through yoga as a excercise

    Of course, real Yoga is a religion and that religion is Hinduism--this is fact. The phony yoga; i.e., pretending not to be Hindu, is, of course, just that--phony.

    No. It is just a practice like prayer, meditation, or lighting candles which can be used by people from many religions (or none at all). While traditional yoga focuses more on the spiritual, today many people use purely physical yoga just for exercise.

    All "Religions" are born out of the original message of a means to relax and be calm and healthy. Those who "pray" or "connect" or "meditate" are actually doing themselves a world of good as they are all a means to a calm and emotional balance. Yoga is a means of relaxation and emotional balance and the word religion is a mistake. Have you ever seen a clergyman or woman on the psychiatrist's couch? No because they are well balanced with their beliefs. The original message from those beings not from earth is a medical message and therefore science or scientific. Beings who made us would know what's good for us so connecting with the planet and universe as I do helps for health. Yoga is not a religion.
