    imo, humanity will either come to its senses, wake up and then a true democracy or true communism would be possible. as long as people think about themselves there will be greed.

    A democracy is simply a system where majority can vote in anything. A republic is where that power is limited, so you can't have a 51% majority vote to execute the other 49% and take all their stuff.

    There is no country in the world that is a democracy, as far as I know.

    But yes, the world should move to put severe limits on govt power.

    I live in the U.S., so I am going to worry about ridding the U.S. government of its totalitarian tendencies. George W. Bush demonstrated what happens when you try to intervene in the affairs of other countries.
