Doesn't matter whether I wish it or no, it's not going to happen.

No matter how negative my view of humanity is, I can not give up on it. I know the planet will thrive if humans are wiped out, but I think the human mind is too useful to be disposed of. Animals can live in harmony with nature in a way that we forgot how to. Humans on the other hand have a mind, and this mind is powerful enough to exceed the limitation of this reality. We are meant for greater things, but right now were at the juvenile stage where we are scared and unenlightened. We'll just have to live through it, and go beyond it. If we were to wipe the slate clean now, earth may never see another intelligent lifeform emerge again before the sun fades away.

The world is not going to end this year. The institutions that have been infiltrated and subverted will. Banks, education system, the scientific communty, ect. ect. ect. In 7 years, you won't recognize this planet.

No. Religious people seem to have an obsession with it ending though. For all we know, it won't end until the sun burns up

I just want it to be over and done with. I have nothing really much to live for, just more loneliness. Let's fire up the barbeque and fry this planet up on the grill!

If the world ends this year, it will be the fault of people, not aliens or whatever crap propaganda is going around. I doubt that the world will end this year, but if people keep believing that stuff, it's more likely to happen.

Depends on what you mean by world. : When translated from the Greek word ko′smos, “world” can mean (1) humankind as a whole, apart from their moral condition or course of life, (2) the framework of human circumstances into which a person is born and in which he lives, or (3) the mass of mankind apart from Jehovah’s approved servants. Some Bible translators have conveyed inaccurate impressions by also using “world” as the equivalent of Greek terms that mean “earth,” “inhabited earth,” and “system of things.”

The book Studies in the Vocabulary of the Greek New Testament, by K. S. Wuest (1946, p. 57), quotes Greek scholar Cremer as saying: “As kosmos is regarded as that order of things whose center is man, attention is directed chiefly to him, and kosmos denotes mankind within that order of things, humanity as it manifests itself in and through such an order (Mt. 18:7).”

The King James Version used “world” to render not only ko′smos but also three other Greek words in some of its renderings of them (ge; ai‧on′; oi‧kou‧me′ne) and five different Hebrew words (ʼe′rets; che′dhel; che′ledh; ʽoh‧lam′; te‧vel′). This produced a blurring or confused blending of meanings that made it difficult to obtain correct understanding of the scriptures involved. Later translations have served to clear up considerably this confusion.

Prov. 2:21, 22: “The upright are the ones that will reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be left over in it. As regards the wicked, they will be cut off from the very earth; and as for the treacherous, they will be torn away from it.”

(Psalm 37:10-11) And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. 11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
(Psalm 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.

When Jehovah decides it's time, the above will take place. I'm certainly, eagerly, looking forward to this time wheather it be in 2012 or some later date.

This is the perfect example of religion making good people do bad things.

How can anyone claim to be a good person and want the world to end. Even if their main motivation is wrapped up in everyone getting judged and lots of people getting presents anyone of a decent morality should not want the death of billions of people.

To anyone voting yes - you freak me out with your near psychopathic weirdness.
