I think pollution is a growing problem. Over time more and more fuel is being consumed which means more toxins released into the atmosphere. Although there has been a recent push for electric cars and other sources of renewable energy, it doesn't mean that Americans will all of a sudden resort to using those means to travel. Most of us have become conditioned to using gasoline. What that means is, our conditioning makes it difficult to switch to an alternative means for transportation meaning we wouldn't be as apt to change our daily and yearly habits.

There is also the issue of costs. Electric and hybrid cars cost more than the conventional vehicles that run on gasoline and run at a lower MPG ratio. So that means Americans will be more intimidated to purchase vehicles that could prove to be more helpful to the atmosphere. But the reason why pollution is something to be wary of is because it can lower the life expetancy of those that live in the most un-healthy areas. With lower life expectancy then it means future generations will incur diseases and other malformities which can lead to a loss in population growth and loss of life. Of course the population will continue to expand, but it wouldn't be as much if pollution becomes a problem which it already has.

Why do they always forget to include the ACTUAL answers?

People... People dear, are the single most apt condition in the universe most capable of destructive behavior.

Without the stupidity of the human organism... none of the above *With the exception of the Asteroid that we are completely inept at dealing with at this point, would exist in the first place.

Americans throw away enough garbage everyday to fill 63,000 garbage trucks, which if
lined up end to end for an entire year would stretch half way to the moon. so they are going to be consumed by their own consumption ironically
