In response to your last comment:
I actually can't view the back of my VCR at the moment. See, at the moment, I'm bed-bound and rely on a crutch to move, from my bed to the bathroom and back (my GP thinks it might be algro-dystrophy, or however it's spelled), which means anything that even brushes against the skin will hurt like stinging nettles, only it feels more like sticking my foot into a bonfire. Because of this, any movement is excruciating for me (and the last time I went downstairs was actually with the help of paramedics). Also, the cabinet that my VCR is placed on, makes it difficult to get at the back of it, especially with my current disabilty. And my mum can't do it either because she has arthritis in her hands. I'm adding a photo of my VCR to show how hard it would be for me to reach it (especially with all of those wires). I wish I could be of more help, only there are some things that I simply can't do with the thing that I'm suffering. And I know you didn't ask for my personal history, but I needed to explain further why I couldn't help.

I own a Funai video tape player. Probably not well-known, but as long as it allows me to watch video tapes, I'm happy. =o)
