Help answer this question below.

Should the Vatican have to apologise for Pastor Jones' burning of the Koran? Iran's ambassador to the Vatican is demanding such.

After all,the man is not a Catholic.

    Sorry for showing my ignorance in this matter....

    If Pastor Jones is Catholic then: firstly, the Vatican should have made it abundantly clear to him that they would not support such an act; secondly, if they did actually support it, then yes - they definitely should apologise for such an extreme lack of respect towards others; thirdly, if Vatican showed that they did not support his actions, and yet he chose to carry them out anyway - then I believe that the Vatican should "sack" him (whatever the right term is for preachers).

    If he isn't Catholic, then why is it that the Vatican would be involved in this matter at all? Unless it can be proven that the Vatican either covertly, or overtly, supported what this foolish man did, HE is the one who needs to apologise.....accept responsibility for his own actions.....

    this sounds as senseless as the people who ask Muslims to apologise for terrorist attacks, treat Muslims as if they are criminals or deny them the rights enjoyed by other citizens.

    No, I don't because it's just a book. The vatican does however need to apologise for the child abuse scandals and expose the evil child abusers to the police, so they can be punished and give peace of mind to the victims and their familys.

    No the vatican doesnt need to apologize but Pastor Jones sure needs to, im wiccan but im gonna say its guys like this who give true descent christians a bad name, and it makes me sad
