It's typical doublespeak to say, "Ah, those unions ONCE were good, but now they no longer are needed."...hook, line and sinker, if you believe that...when you get rid of unions, please, oh, please, tell me WHO or WHAT will have the power to speak for the middle class? Do you think corporations have our best interests at heart? No, they are not evil, but they sure as hell don't care much about their workers, and virtually ALL historical evidence points to this...

I say good teachers shouldn't need tenure.

There was a time when unions did a good thing for the workers.
Now, it's mainly a goon club where only friends and relatives get high paying jobs for doing less than quality work.
Just look at the teachers union, short of raping and murdering your students, you can't get fired for being useless and not doing your job...well, even if you do rape and murder them, the union goons will strike to keep you from being fired.
This is the same in ALL public sector unions, impossible to fire incompetent workers.

The unions do but the labor law backing them does not.

The original concept of a union was skilled, hard-to-replace people, working together to get leverage. They did not need the artificial advantage of labor law to negotiate. Companies wouldn't hire replacements because replacements were not readily available.

The new concept of a union is lazy unskilled dolts who want 70k a year to polish hubcaps and can find the cash to donate 50 million to some guy's campaign but then they want a bailout to keep their pensions alive.
