Completely true. Talk to purplecows about 9/11 and you'll see the psychosis in full swing.

    Generally, I would say true.

It seems in this day and age, with so much information instantly at our finger tips, it is becoming more difficult for people to discern what is true and what is not. There is a level of skepticism about just about everything that has not existed in times past.

You could hook Neil Armstrong up to a lie detector test, have him provide moon rocks that can scientifically be proven to be from the moon, and get an affidavit from every engineer and astronaut who worked on the Apollo missions that it actually happened, and some people would STILL refuse to believe the moon landings took place. In fact, they would see all of that evidence as part of the "elaborate hoax". Same for the JFK assassination, 9/11, Roswell N.M., Elvis, CIA, etc., etc., etc....

Well, I think that statement needs to be qualified a bit. Evidence that something is probably not the case, conspiracy theorists will consider to be evidence for it being the case. Evidence that something cannot be the case, they won't. Unless they're really stupid.

since we are talking about imaginary people, just about anything we can think of to say will be true (and, equally, false!)

Any evidence presented would be twisted to fit their line of thinking, so true, it's evidence "for". 9/11 is a prime example.

There is a term for it: Cognitive dissonance.

Its an amazing thing to see. The implications can be (and have been) very scary.

Sounds about right, since a true conspiracy believer assumes "they" can just make up evidence to hide their conspiracy.

Interesting way of thinking about it, and I obviously think its true. Never heard it that way before, and it kinda made things in my head "click" into place. Nice way of putting it.

Sorry but your question does not compute. Could you restate it please because as it is written it makes no sense to me. Thank you and Happy Monday! :)

Yes. I've encountered some of them myself. They take scriptures that say Jesus Christ is the Almighty God and refuse to admit that's evidence against the theory that Christ isn't God, but only some piddling creation made for the sole purpose of dying on the cross. All the evidence of God's word indicates that he is who he says he is — our Savior — but they throw it out as evidence that he isn't. Go figure.
