There's a bit of comfusion on this issue. Vermont and Alaska do not require permits to carry condealed weapons. I haven't gotten a definitive answer if there are other states as well.

Interesting. I did not know that. I knew 48 states issue CC permit. I assumed that mean they required them.
I just found this Arizona also no permit required.

So I can bring my Glock 22 from out of state, where I need a permit and it must always be in plain sight and not worn on my person- I can take it to Arizona and stick it in my belt legally? I wonder why the NRA thinks this is something desent people want to do!

Yes. Protection. Perhaps if someone at the AZ shooting had their cc gun, they could have took the nut out before he shot as many as he did. One man was there but he was inside the store and by the time he came out it was over.
