Hi I have a sanyo 42 inch LCD HDTV and the picture quality turned bad it looks like if it had a lot of pink and purple can it be fixable ?

Try adjusting the color balance in the menu options first. It shouldn't get out of whack, but with some sets, picture quality starts to deteriorate after a few years. Stick to the major brands like Sony or Sharp. Better yet, read the reviews on a site called retrevo before you buy a particular model. I bought a Sharp Aquos after reading a review on it 4 yrs ago, and it's as good as day one.

My Sanyo TV has an 03 in the corner. I don't have the original remote and no universal remote. the menu also has no option to turn it off.
