    Great Answer

    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

    On One Hand: Treatment Plan

The proactive.com website has a treatment plan for those with oily skin. It consists of Renewing Cleanser, Revitalizing Toner, Repairing Lotion and Daily Oil Control. A thin layer of the Repair Lotion is all that it takes to moisturize skin daily. Reduce amount and frequency of use if peeling or dryness occurs.

On the Other: Oily Skin and Moisturizers

People with oily skin still need to protect the face from becoming tight and dry. Acne and oily skin products tend to be drying and irritate skin that is not well hydrated. Look for a product that is lightweight, non-comedogenic and that contains a sunscreen as noted by the xomba.com website.

    Bottom Line

While Proactiv Repair Lotion is fine for oily skin, any lightweight lotion will do the job. Slick, shiny faces are not pleasant for anyone and may actually attract more dirt particles from the air. Stripping skin of its natural oils is common with many oily skin products and the skin may be crying out for some hydration by overcompensating in oil production.
