    Yes.

One of two good things can come from an independent investigation - one probably best conducted by the War Crimes bunch at The Hague:

    1. Bush and / or his top people are found culpable, stand trial, and are prosecuted showing the world even the mighty USA doesn't hold itself above the law it uses to justify invading other countries.

    2. Bush & Co are vindicated and we can all chalk it up to "bad intelligence" and move on.

In either case it should have been done already.

A Complaint has been filed with the Prosecutor for the International Criminal Court (I.C.C.) in The Hague against U.S. citizens George W. Bush, Richard Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, George Tenet, Condoleezza Rice, and Alberto Gonzales (the “Accused”) for their criminal policy and practice of “extraordinary rendition” perpetrated upon about 100 human beings.

Sure. Then we can try Obama for HIS incursions in Afghanistan. Fair is fair, right?
Oh, and let's try Clinton for attacking a Chinese embassy to get the press off his ass about a blue dress.

Or Vincent Bugliosi's book "The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder".

If you don't know who Vincent is simply google his name so you don't have to take my word for it when I say he has a impeccable record as The top prosecutor in the US.

Which means he doesn't loose when he prosecutes some one which 1 of his most famous cases was Charles Manson.

The problem is these guys apparently are untouchable as they are called. And many Americans are aware, just not the majority yet. But at the rate people are finally waking up it shouldn't be much longer.
