Police law passed to enable the use of rubber bullets on demonstrators and / or protestors in the UK? wrong/ right

    First, there is no such thing as a Police Law - laws are made by Parliament.

    Second, Plastic baton rounds were developed in Britain to replace rubber bullets because of the unpredictable and excessively dangerous nature of discharged rubber bullets.

    Third, to the best of my knowledge a law on the subject has not been recently passed because the Home Secretary can authorise the use of baton rounds under legislation that already exists.

    Fourth, having that authorisation doesn't guarantee their use. For example, the use of baton rounds was authorised, should it become necessary, during the G8 Summit Meeting in Scotland in 2005, but they were never used.
