    Already living there..or close by. L.A. is the place for me. New York is not my cuppa tea. Too fast-paced. As for Florida I don't like humidity or big bugs. I had a friend who moved to Florida from Massachusetts and the first thing she did was send me a roll of "No Bugs M'Lady" Shelf Paper. She said it saved her life. Also, after she'd been there awhile she said she had to turn on the AC from April through October and run it constantly or things got moldy/mildewed in the closets, shoes and clothes included. No Florida for me. Chicago seems like a mini-New York...too fast-paced. New Orleans? I'd love the jazz and the food but I'm not a Mardi Gras gal..the revelry is kinda is offputting and I'm not sure if that is indicative of a way of life there. Also...lots of swamps means lots of mosquitos and humidity. I dunno. I think where I am is best for me. Best of luck to those who don't agree! :)

    I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and love that city!

    It's a small/large city with so many wonderful and exciting things to see and do! I would move back there if I could!

    I grew up in Chicago, and hated the cold weather, so when I graduated from medical school in 1981, I wanted in internship in someplace warmer ... I ruled out Miami, because the marielitos had just arrived ... I considered New Orleans, but it was a little too "southern" for me, "y'all" ... I chose L.A. and I love it here ... and New York is just too crowded ...
