Two tin cans and a string. That's what I use. I have unlimited minutes on my plan. :-)

On the other hand, I'm open to suggestions from the spammer who I expect to show up any minute, now.

Tin can and strings are also great for kids. haha!
But in all seriousness, the best phones for senior citizens would be a durable and easy to use phone. Many economic style phones would be great because they are usually designed tough and are very simple to use.

Thank you chucky for that valuable insight :) Do you think the SOS button is worth it?

It's a bit of a dilemma; the tracfone is by the most affordable option, initially with the handset, and also with the month to month cost. But it doesn't have an emergency SOS button, and it also only uses AT&T's network, which is apparently spotty in rural areas (I like rural areas). The other options, Jitterbugs, Just5, and Doro phones seem very easy, and their person to person service looks awesome. Just they cost sooo much more, is it really worth it?
