Do most people come here to belittle us, exercise their prejudices and try to convince us how open-minded or how spiritual they are

or do some people come here with despicable ulterior motives. SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE.

    You've only been on AB for a week. I've been here for almost 3 years.

    There are a variety of people on AB with a variety of reasons to be here. Most are here to learn something .. have some fun .. and maybe meet people from all over the world.

    Just like any place else .. there are going to be negative people or trouble-makers. You can't control how they act, but you can control how you allow it to affect your experience here.

    There are many questions from many different users ... lots to choose from.

    If you give it a chance and get to know members, I'm sure you'll find there are more great folks on here than negative ones.

    Yes, so much of what gets thrown at the blackboard here is clearly ego-based. But I suspect it is more to impress the askers themselves than the rest of us. Otherwise they would make more effort to conceal their true motives from people of average or higher intelligence and perception.

    Dear mister Dangler. If you were lured here under the impression your opinion would be respected and accepted as valid your were mislead. Your opinion is not valid and is completely mistaken because it does not agree with ours, Sorry. This is america sonny. There is only one truth, our truth , even if nobody else on earth believes it. Welcome anyway Dangly even if you happen to be dark-skinned or Islamic or Democrat or believe UFOS come from other galaxies.
    In the great melting pot of humanity we need all sorts so I shall be asking you to be my friend, regardless of your crazy ideas. No offense.
