You'd have to educate the population before they could give you a definate answer. Most intellectuals want democracy but in the process, because of the low education standard and the very strong influence of religion, they may even settle for a religious dictatorship.

I don't think either of your choices is appropriate. Most countries in the Middle East have never experienced democracy, so have no knowledge of what it is, but they certainly don't want tyranny either.

- I believe that the real player in the protests is the Muslim Brotherhood.The B H. is keeping a low profile while using a moderate like Elbaradei as a conduit in gaining power.I will go so far as to predict that the B H will jail Elbaradei after consolidating power.By their statements,I think that President Obama

The Arab world has never lived with democracy and never will. They have lived as a tribal society since inception and can't and won't change.
