    I don't think 13/14 is too young to date.However,I think that the only places you should be able to go on dates at is the mall,a family fun center kind of place or like a school event.

    Your grade has nothing to do with it. Ask the question again when you've learned about capitalization and the correct use of the word 'to'.

    The serious answer to the questions is not yes or no, there are many types of 'dates'. Some may be appropriate for 8th graders and some are not. If your parents are restricting you due to your age, listen to them. You gain their respect and they learn to trust you when you do. When you try to prove them wrong (i.e. poll results), it's the same as telling them that they're wrong. Take the time to show them that you're a responsible person. They will respect your opinion when you respect theirs.

    Note: The sooner you start dating, the sooner it gets old. Especially when your pool of dating prospects is so immature.
