    Asker's Pick

Selected by the asker, tedmie. (What's this?)

I don't hate Muslims, but I know many are frightened of them because of the terrorist acts they have preformed in the name of their religion. The majority of Muslims are probably a peace loving people but it doesn't take many to give the rest a bad name.
What's sad is that the Muslim world was once the most tolerant, scientifically advanced, and civilized people in the west and near east. They preserved a great deal of knowledge that would have been lost if the early Christian church had their way in the middle ages. But now they are in the public eye for terrorist acts.

we dont hate muslims. i know alot about your religion. i think people dont like muslim religion because it is highly related to terrorism. undeniable. they kill people in the name of allah...who wants to be a part of that then? muslims countries are never peaceful, they have strict hypocritical laws...islam is associated as a religion of violence so ya...maybe that's why most people hate the religion. christians who DO hate are being unjust. they must believe that christianity is peace; it is but we should be helping you see the light, not hating you, because hating is murder. so ya.... i hope this helps you see. :)

People are just uneducated about the Muslim religion. We are a very peace loving religion, some muslims are extremist, and they just misunderstand what's written in the Quran. I can't remember the exact chapter and verse right now, but the Quran states that "killing one person is like killing a nation, and those people will dwell in hell for eternity, Allah indeed has a great punishment for them, for he is well aware of all that we do."
Also, how about the Columbine kids, or V. Tech, wouldn't that make chrisitians, and asains terrorists as well?? Or is the world only against Muslims?? Many people need to just be educated, and stop pointing fingers.!!!!

I dont have room in my heart for hate, I am Catholic and believe what I believe, no one can sway me from my belief, so I do not feel threatened by any other religion. I wish people would stop stereotyping, not all muslims wish harm to others, it is a minority. There are so many people with hate in their hearts and if they didn't have muslims to hate it would be something or someone else. My mum is Irish but that did not make her a terrorist when the IRA wre killing people.

    Peace be with you

Do muslims want to kill infidels? Is everyone who is not a muslim an infidel? If you are muslim and I am not do you want to kill me? That would determine whether I can be comfortable around you, wouldn't it? I hate nothing..I hate no one. But if someone hates me isn't it prudent of me to make myself scare around such a person? Happy Tuesday to you! :)

I want to tolerate Islam, but it's kinda hard when a large block of them want to destroy my way of life. I'm sure there are plenty of peaceful Muslims, but that's kind of like saying there were plenty of peaceful Germans while the Nazis were in control. True, but irrelevant.

People who say that they hate Islam and love muslims who love "them" or they hate the 'Jihadist' version of Islam or the 'Fundamentalist' Islam, they are either ignorant, do not know or don't want to know, they say they are christian and they have no place for hatred, yet they are willingly agree to the policy of the West(U.S) to invade and kill 10 million(at the last count in 2008 in Iraq) muslims men, women and children, on the pretext of destroying the "weapons of Mass Destruction(WMD)", people who are opposed to the Muslim women wearing 'Hijab' when they appreciate their own 'Nuns' wearing the same outfit - Islam as a religion not only preaches peace but shows the way to implement peace an harmony in the society and personal life, 'your' religion on the other had only preaches but to implement the same it stays 'silent', the way of 'implementation' showed by Islam does goes down your throat or your way of life, so 'you' go about blaming the "way' itself, tell me how many of you have actually read with understanding the "Koran' and the Hadith(Prophetic sayings and practices)", before making a judgement, "you" make judgement based on the media reports about muslims killing the non-muslim, the same media who founded "WMD' in Iraq and justified the invasion of U.S and thus the killing of innocent Muslim, the 'bogey' of 'Osama Bin Laden' created by the 'West' to justify its killing and capturing of muslim and thier resources, tell after all these years where is 'Osama', so many muslim terrorist are blowing up innocent people they are at times caught and punished but is the trial never made public, why the proof also comes from "informed sources", why is there never a concrete proof of guilty but only of the destruction, I think people who make negative comment about Islam needs more of "INTROSPECTION" then "INSPECTION"

NO, we do not hate Islam.

What we do hate, are those who use their religion (Islam) as a shield to prevent any criticism of themselves.

And we always hate the hypocrisy of those who whine about being mistreated, yet these selfsame folks who do whine, have absolutely no problem with mistreating others.

In other words- you want us to respect you. Then respect us.

As I stated in a comment, Christians are never taught to hate anyone, we are taught to love each and every human being, you may hear hatred against sin (even the sin we fall into, ourselves, from time to time) but never against a human being.

I love you, Muslims, Jews, etc.. and I love myself, but hate the SINS, WE commit.

By the way neither was I, or any Christian I know, taught to hate Islam.

I believe that question is in error and unfair to true Bible believing Christians.

I'd fall into the non-muslim category myself...and into none of the others.

I hate Islam. This does not imply that I hate all Muslims...just the violent, bigoted, and misogynistic trash that they fill their heads with.

There are certain muslims that I do hate however. I hated no less than 19 of them on September 11th for example.

As a general rule...any Muslim who has twisted and contorted the true meaning of The Koran and Hadif such that it allows them to live peacefully and with a respect for human rights is an unmet friend of mine.

Anyone who takes it literally is my enemy.

I know enough to know they shouldn't be on our airplanes or in our military.
I don't hate anyone but I also don't know why America keeps tolerating muslims when they want to kill us.
and don't give me that bologna about islam being peacful,I have also read enough of the koran to know that ain't true.
this country needs to stop worrying so much about hurting someones feelings and start protecting it's people.

none of the above...do not hate anyone ....have done much study, read their book and had a friend who was muslim, read lots on here too, as to their teachings and beliefs.....I am strongly OPPOSED to their god and prophet....as much as they are to My God and HIS Prophet and Redeemer....
they used much of the Torah, to create their own prophet and book...some 600 yrs. after the Messiah....for me, its nothing more than a great, growing ,antiGod and Christ..

First: It is unfair to judge the entire religion by a small group of terrorists

Second: We as Muslims believe Jesus peace be upon him and believe in Moses peace be upon him and We as Muslims hate the terrorists just like you .

Third: we love peace and love the name of Islam is derived from the peace, and who respect us we respect him .

fourth : I think that Islam is the most suitable and the best religion of life, and who wants to read more about it visit this site: www.islam-guide.com

I live in a Muslim town in Thailand. I have Muslim students and neighbors. For the most part they're decent, kind, hardworking, and at least basically moral, and I have no doubt that at least a few of them have genuine and deep love of God and a relationship with/personal mystical experience of Him.

That being said, I and arguably most Americans and Europeans are deeply worried about the Jihadists, including the less violent type that are none-the-less working to make Islam the State religion of our nations, working to gain control of the government either by conquest, infiltration, and/or by "peaceful" invasion by immigration until they can win at the ballot box. (Not a fear in Thailand, but it is one in Europe and America, particularly Europe.) Whether this is a rational fear or not, there certainly are a lot of prominent, influential, educated, and well informed people who are convinced the fear is legitimate, and are trying to make sure everybody else knows it too.

Also, I trust most non-Muslims are well aware there are many good and basically liberal/moderate Muslims - HOWEVER, many are generally of the opinion that by being good, moderate, and liberal they are being BAD Muslims. Their understanding of the Quran is that the Jihadists like the Wahibists are correct in their interpretation of it, and are being faithful to it, where as other more moderate Muslims are essentially like most American Episcopelians: they're not following the religion they claim, but a nicer, softer, gentler spin-off that is really false to its origins.

But there are also many apologists for "kinder, gentler Islam" - most notably the bulk of the American Media and both the current and the last presidential administrations. Those who take that view, love "Islam" (or their version of it), but arguably hate fundamentalist Muslims. Those who take the previous view (that Jihadist Islam is TRUE Islam) hate Islam and believe it must be destroyed, but feel sorry for those deceived by it - not that that's going to stop them from killing them if it comes to real war or civil war.

You cannot judge all Christian on the behaviour of a few. Its like saying all Muslims are bad because of a couple of extremists. Hate is a un-Christian thing to do. I dont hate muslims in fact I embrace the role you play as prophetized, and I admire your passion and dedication to your believes...And for fear - we only fear what is unknown to us.
