    Yes, it was some stupid rock which would make Earthians rich or help them use it to create some more crap.

    Thanks to Dr.Augustine and Jake Sully who had noble motives.Dr Grace figured out the Navi network through the roots of the tree, through which they communicated and transferred data, in modern terms.Jake on the other had was brave and had no fear in his dictionary.He helped the Navis to fight the sky people(We guys, really really mean and greedy) and finally got his prize in form of his legs and the beautiful Neytiri(Not sure, if she's beautiful for you, but I found her beautiful).Poor grace had to die a pathetic death.

    By the efforts of Jake and team and Eywa the tree of soul's blessings, the Pandorans succeeded in foiling the motives of the Earthians.

    PANDORA ROCKS!!!(Sorry, Can't resist myself)

    They wanted Unobtainium. Jake Sully was converted from human to Na'vi! Col.Quaritch was most likely an athiest, but we don't know for sure, he just didn't believe in the Na'vi 's female deity "Eywa". Dr. Grace Augustine was an agnostic scientist, Parker Selfridge was just a greedy high ranking CEO for RDA, who took advantage of the Na'vi and munipulated everyone else, including taking advantage of Col.Quaritch ,unstable and fragile mental state(Col.Quaritch theme song is probably "NUMB"by: Linkin Park,at least I think thats who sings it!) Who knows Col. Quaritch may have had a moral delima, what if he needed the money he was getting from RDA to get a medical operation for his sick and dying child,no one really knows if put in a situation like that what lengths they may go to,even if it goes against everything they believe,and say I'd never do something so henious! Ask any military soldier or cop, whose killed innocent people,women and children in the line of duty they'll tell you about how it made them feel,and why war is hell and shouldn't be glorified or that crime doesn't pay,ask them ,why they feel numb or not so good about themselves! Live with killing a kid,wether you could help it or not. If any converting happened in Avatar it was Neytiri converting Jake,who at first didn't believe in the Na'vi way,but believed only what the Marine Corp had taught him ,human religion,like Christianity or any other Earth bound religion had nothing to do with what they ,RDA were doing. It was mostly Science and technology they used, they weren't trying to convert the Na'vi they used them like Scientific experiments!!
