Mormons, I am curious; If when you die, you become a god of your own planet. What is the motivation to stay alive?

According to LDS Doctrine will I have the opportunity to marry my girlfriend in the next life? She passed away almost a year ago and we never had the chance to marry while she was alive.

You're reading MORMONS True or False: There are three degrees of heaven, and only faithful Mormons can go to the highest degree - The Celestial Kingdom.

Thank you for your answer.
>Outer Darkness is a Kingdom without Glory<
Meaning, of course, that they don't have a Major League Baseball team. They're stuck with the Salt Lake Stingers.

>And that means they must be without sin of any kind...<
>...if we have repented of all our sins and have not denied the Holy Ghost, we will be saved in the very highest degree of the Celestial Kingdom<
BTW, you DO realize that these two assertions are contradictory - right?
A = they must be without sin of any kind
B = and must have had all the Temple endowments
C = and covenants
D = and have been sealed as man and wife
E = and have been sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise.(Holy Ghost)
THEN
F = we will be saved in the very highest degree of the Celestial Kingdom
In other words, A+B+C+D+E=F
However you're ALSO saying.
G = if we have repented of all our sins (meaning that you HAVE sinned)
H = and have not denied the Holy Ghost
THEN
F = we will be saved in the very highest degree of the Celestial Kingdom
A+B+C+D+E+G+H = F
However, since A conflict G then, logically,
A+B+C+D+E+G+H DOES NOT = F
So it appears that in Mormon Soteriology the ONLY way to get into the Celestial Kingdom is to be 100% flawless and perfect. This was, of course, validated by the book, "The Miracle of Forgiveness" by Stephen Kimball http://www.mormonwiki.org/Miracle_of_Forgiveness
And this contradictory, convoluted soterilogy is why the Mormon Gospel has been correctly labeled "The Impossible Gospel" (see http://www.mormonwiki.org/Impossible_gospel )
And, by the way, single people in case you didn't notice unless you get eternally sealed (aka "married for eternity") in an LdS Temple during your mortal life you can NOT reach the Celestial Kingdom. Sorry!
(If you've suspected that you're a second class citizen in the Mormon Kingdom of God it appears that you were eternally correct according to their soteriology! Someone had to say it so there it is.)
