None of them sound right to me either. I keep hearing men complaining that they dont have equal abortion rights. So, I'm wondering what exactly they want as far as equal abortion rights.
Some say that child support should be outlawed, some say they should have the right to force her to abort (since she has the right to abort without his consent)I think requiring mutual consent would give equal rights, but they say that isnt enough. I'm very confused on this issue.

Yeah, because think about it... a child should "belong" to both parents. But with people who aren't married, it becomes complicated because the fetus is physically with the mom. It's not fair to force her to abort something out of her own body, but it's also not fair to make the dad pay. Our system favors the mother because she's the one carrying the baby, but seriously... they're both equally responsible. In fact, women should be MORE responsible BECAUSE it's their own body that has to change.

To me, it doesnt seem that the issue should be so complicated. If a person does not want a child, they should protect themself. A woman who doesnt want a child should use BC, a man who doesnt want a child should wear a condom. How many unplanned pregnancies would there be? If one of the two refuses to protect themself, it should be understood that they consent to the risk. If the other agrees to have sex with the unprotected person, it should be understood that they are agreeing to the risk. With that said, abortion should require mutual consent because the pregnancy was mutually conceived.
I agree they are both responsible, but I dont agree that women should carry more responsibilty because they dont get themselves pregnant.

I don't mean they should be more responsible legally. I'm saying practically speaking, it's in their best self interest to be more careful. Men, aside from possibly paying child support, has little to lose.
