    I am inclined to support this because research suggests that marijuana is now more harmful than alcohol, in which case it should be legal. I don't think we should criminalise drugs just because they don't happen to appeal to ourselves. Furthermore, prohibitions are not very effective. I think that people respond better to education.

    M is not highly addictive (2 - 3 days of cravings, then it's out of your pshyc and system). There are no overdoses (either you pass out or puke), no one on 'M' (only) has gone on a shooting spree, the worst argument you'll get from a pot head is "Oh, ok then", where the crime becomes an issue is in the distribution and territory that leads to the gang violence. So legalizing M would stop most of that (still be violence over the hard drugs).

    The main group of dissenters are the politicians who can see no way of making a profit from it. Since you can grow the stuff, they would be hard pressed to sell it.

    I'm am pro choice in this regard. I think that it should be up to the individual whether they want to smoke it or not.

    I believe it should be decriminalized...which doesn't mean it should be put on the market indescrimanatley.There should be limits just as there are w/alcohol and cigarettes.

    But it won't because drugs are more profitable.

    It shouldn't just be legalised as medical though, it should be legalised altogether.

    Marijuana has no known long term effects to most users.
    If it did, its a persons choice, like alcohol.

    1: I'm tired of seeing my friends get thrown in jail. 2: I don't mind other people doing it as long as they don't impose it on me. 3: People who are charged on a crime that they committed while they were high should be charged on the crime itself, not doing it "Under the influence."

    i vote yes as its a lot less harmful than alcohol and would help the financial aspect in country's they should put a law on it like alcohol over the age of 18 and dont fry n drive etc i use it n am proud to say so it helps me relax especially after work as im a chef which has a lot of stress included with the job.

    so yeah i say yes

    I think all marijuana possession and use should be decriminalized at the very least. We would save billions of dollars per year by not having to house these so called criminals.

    As for the medical aspect it has been shown to ease the effects of glaucoma as well as the nausea that often accompanies chemotherapy for cancer patients.
