What's the point?You already have a magnet and why would you like to magnetize it?

Yes, but magnets could magnetize other ferromagnetic substances.You have to stroke the magnet over the length of the material in one direction.This aligns the poles of the substance in one direction and gives rise to magnetism.

- Sure thing!!Even electrostatic charges induced in needles could make them behave like compass on water.
