How long after getting married did you realise it wasnt working out the way you wanted? What made you feel so? Was it saved or did it end?

    I realized it wasn't working when he was screwing around a little of a year into the marriage...I divorced him and moved out for a few years with the babies about a year after...we got married again, had a few more kids...realized it wasn't working because he was cheating...stayed with him platonically for many years while he played the field...but, wouldn't go back to that.

    I realized I had married her for her children and that she was an alcoholic (I thought she was just a woman who enjoyed a party but it turned out she drank every day, alone if she could not find a party) I stayed for seventeen years until our youngest was in college and I left. There were good moments but mostly they revolved around the children's lives. I've paid alimony for forty years as the state laws required at the time. But the kids have grown up to do very well although they choose not to forgive me for divorcing their mother and leaving her alone.
