    Just one creation story among literally hundreds - with no more evidence of being real than any of the others (ie: none whatsoever).

    Life began when complex organic compounds began to clump together in progressively more complex chains, in excess of 500 million years ago.
    Adam and Eve were fictional, the sheer amount of inbreeding required to produce a stable population of humans would have rendered our species extinct.
