Should jury be deselected and selected? The whole point of jury is to have the opinion of the people on a matter, and by selecting or deselecting those who look like they may oppose you, you're essentially breaking the point of jury.
Yes, there might be a few fanatics who join the jury, but that is very rare. If the percentage of fanatics/crazies who get picked for jury duty was anything above 1%, then jury selection might be viable just to remove them. But it seems that 1% would be a high number for that, so that's not an excuse for jury selection.
