Is the element Tony Stark pulled out of his ass to make an Arc reactor possible is the question.

i believe the element is possible to create, and ive been thinking of various designs for this; what it seems like to me is this 'element' is similar to unimtainium, which convert heat to electricity at 'zero-point' (no loss) and this arc could indeed be a 'micro' particle accelerator, besides u dont have to have super cooled magnets, they just do that to cut down on energy, and make the system for efficent. if you think about quantium physics, if properly scaled right any marco object such as an Internal Cumbustion Engine could be made the size of a thumb tack if you did it right, but it wouldnt be able to power anything :p ok well back in track, it seems that this arc rides along in this tube on a ring of this element, and the electromagnets confine the arc and push the particle stream around (think of a bunch of funnels place into each other around in a circle, or he uses xenon gas. each coil is powered by a circuit to accurately keep up the process, and as the heat from the arc is converted into energy, it is stored in charge pumps and capacitors which re-power the circuit, and whats left over goes to his suit. then again im not really sure, ive just dedected all this from pot smoking and watch the videos :P But if anyone out there can get ahold of some specs/designs/schematics well be good!(hint: they do show the schematics at the end of the movie!, its in the background, the issue is getting a clean 1080p version so we can actually see all the details. :) )

    Thanks, MegaGamerGuy

It's never explained how it works. It looks like a revolving electromagnetic field, or a revolving particle stream (photons? neutrinos? both?).

His father could have used the STM (Scanning Tunneling Microscope). The STM exists in our present world and can be used to manipulate or modify the structure and position of individual atoms. IBM made the letters "IBM" out of only 31 atoms! May be Tony's father was the ultimate jobless person on earth and he made an element of his own using the STM. But here's the crack, it would have taken him centuries making an element atom - by - atom!!!
