Would you consider Hinduism a monotheistic or polytheistic religion

In spite of the fact that millions of gods and goddesses are venerated by Hindus,some argue that Hinduism is a monotheistic religion.

    Hinduism isn't a single religion. It's a group of many varied religions, sects, and schools within a shared heritage and culture. Within it, one will find monotheistic, monistic, pantheistic, polytheistic, animistic, and henotheistic systems of belief.

    While I chose monotheistic, the real answer is "All of the Above." The question is too general. Different traditions within Hinduism view the pantheon in different ways. Some clam many gods, others one God with many faces, and still others have other views. I don't have many online resources to offer, but this might help a little:

    ok there are some hindu religions which believe there are actually 108 gods.
    and then there are Hindu religions who believe in one God with 108 different aspects.
