Oh come on- you know the answer to that question.

That's the job for someone who's only qualifications are that you are young and pretty.
    Develop some other skills.

Being young and pretty have nothing to do with it. You need to work hard.

That depends. Each job that you work in your employment history is based on two things:

    1. It is based on the field of work. Some fields of work require a higher salary like that of medicine or clerical work depending on the role you will be completing in the office. Other jobs like landscaping for example or even jobs as you have listed pay less or are dependent upon tips received by customers.

    2. Your level or working experience. The more experience you have in a given field, the more likely your salary will be higher. But if you have never held a job in that field or a field at all, then you are likely to receive the base salary. Usually top salaries come from being employed in different areas for multiple years, or past experience. Those jobs vary on experience and on field.

I would probably not add "pretty young girl" to my resume.

Why would pretty even come into it? Unless you were planning something seedy which is always better paid, but has its own price to pay.

Girls that rely on using their looks very rarely succeed long term in life and have a very early shelf life.

Open a book, get yourself educated with a career you can call your own to build your self esteem on. While doing that work in a low paid job to put yourself through college/uni because you'll look back and feel proud you did.

I'm 20 years old, about finished with my Associates and just quit my job at Hooter's. It's been great there, in the past two years I've learned so much from customer service, computer skills, organizational skills, dealing with others, working with others, handling cash, preparing and serving food, bartending, and most of all communication! I probably have some of the best communication skills than most people. It was my job to talk to the customer, make them comfortable, make them feel good about the atmosphere, where they were and who they were with. Make people want to come back, that was what I did for the last two years.
But now, I'm trying to find a job where I don't have to wear the orange shorts, and leg warmers (the nylons, I liked personally). That leads me to the question, where to turn now? I don't want any answer that has to do with stripping or entertaining in any sexual way. That's what I'm trying to get away from.

Being "pretty" has a lot to do with it. How many unattractive people do you see working as a pharmaceutical rep? Or flight attendants? Commercials on the TV? People want to have contact/communication with people who are attractive! I worked at Hooters for 2 years, so I'm used to letting people know that I can and do take care of myself physically. Sorry for sounding conceited, I know it does. But if I was an ugly, fat young girl trying to get a job with a good company they probably wouldn't hire me. Companies want people who look good, and have good communication skills to represent for them. Just letting people know that I'm not going to make your company look bad because I "don't know how to wash my hair" or can't put down the bag of Doritos. I work hard to look the way I do, and I'm proud of it too.
Yes it sounds stupid or conceited, but you also have to remember that beauty isn't just skin deep. Hooters is paying for my college, and the company gave me great skills with dealing with customers, organization, handling cash, following rules and requirements, communication skills and dealing with other people whether they are being nice or rude. I have learned a lot from that job and want to learn more. Sorry for letting you know that I can and do enjoy taking care of myself. I'm not the stupid blonde with big tits and botox smiley kind of attitude. I am very opinionated, and strong willed, and a very hard worker. If by putting "pretty, young girl" in that question made you think of me as some kind of dumb "bitchy" type then I'm sorry, you're not understanding what I meant to say, or I'm not able to write it in a way that you could comprehend what I mean.

If I had wanted you to answer that question with "STRIPPER" or "DANCER" then I would have made it one of the options on the damn poll!
