    If the question refers to her 'Alien' Ellen Ripley character, then, yes, certainly for me she is one kick-a** strong person. And, yes, possibly one of the very best examples of "staying cool under pressure!"

    For a fictional "heroine/hero" though, I would choose actress Jean Stapleton portraying ' Edith Bunker ' on " All in the Family " -- Edith embodies an heroic quiet, understated courage, strength, wisdom and love for all, no matter what those around her thought.She was truly an inspiring fictional character for me as I grew up through my early and late teens.
    As an adult, I now realize the healthy impact "Edith/Stapleton" had -- and continues to have -- on me.
    [ Obviously, much of the credit also goes to the "All in the Family" writers who created her. ]
