The one who enjoys doing it. When I was a kid my dad, sis and I went to the market every Saturday. Mom wasn't fond of food shopping so daddy did it and we had a great time. Whoever does the best job..whoever is best at it. I think restricting things by gender in general doesn't make much sense. If the gal is better at changing the oil in the car she should do it. Happy Sundar SB! :)

It should be done by that householder for whom it is convenient at that moment of time.

In a traditional, heterosexually-oriented household like on "Leave it to Beaver" or "Mad men"?

The woman does the shopping, using the allowance her husband gives her for being a good little girl.

She also does the cooking and the cleaning, and brings her husband his slippers when he comes home.

    Ah, Traditional Family Values.

Aren't you glad we don't have them any more?
