Not even a little bit. The biggest storms you might see on this planet are - to the planet at least - nothing more than a bit of wind in the hair.
The tsunami than devastated people and cities in Japan was - to the planet - nothing more than a splash in the bath.
The planet is not being "destroyed". Mankind is having a profound effect on the environment and we may change it so much we can't live on it anymore - but the earth, and the other life on it, will continue unperturbed.

Well, I don't think he's destroying the WHOLE earth with storms. Not all storms are God showing his wrath to humanity, but I will admit that some of them may be. Check out these scriptures:

"The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of his heart was only evil all the time. The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. So the LORD said, 'I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth--men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air--for I am grieved that I have made them." (Genesis 6:5-7) And then the story of the flood continues.

"You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains." (Matthew 24:6-8)

"First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, 'Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.' But they deliberately forget that long ago by God's word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judment and destruction for ungodly men. But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a theif. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him." (2 Peter 3:3-14)

Consider also the seven bowls of God's wrath described in Revelation 16.

No, Absolutely no, its not in the nature of god to destroy his creation, our world will most likely be around for a couple of billion years more, but of course it is possible that the activities man could well alter the world climate, there is some evidence that excessive co2, (created by the burning of fossil fuels) could lead to a global temperature rise, as this gas when in the upper atmosphere prevents reflected heat escaping from earth, thus warming earth a little more each year, but over a long time span the earth will eventually bring itself in to balance once more, as it has done many times in its long history, and all will-be as it should.
