Yes indeed.
Jesus called Jehovah “the only true God” because Jehovah is the Creator.
At John 17:3 we read:
"This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."
"Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior." (Is 43:10)
"This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ." (John 17:3)
"...to the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, might and authority for all past eternity and now and into all eternity. Amen." (Jude 25)
For some reason, there are already 15 votes saying that the Father is not the only true God, yet Jesus said that he was? I know that Jesus talked in parables or illustrations sometimes, but I don't think that he was when he said that the Father was the only true God and John 17:1-3: (John 17:1-3) Jesus spoke these things, and, raising his eyes to heaven, he said: “Father, the hour has come; glorify your son, that your son may glorify you, 2 according as you have given him authority over all flesh, that, as regards the whole [number] whom you have given him, he may give them everlasting life. 3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.
As opposed to Jesus and the Holy Ghost. I'm not sure I understand the question.
amen
Yes there is always only ONE god, you can start believing in Jesus at the age of like 2 or 3, and when you grow up you will understand when you get older... i am 14 and i know all about Jesus and there is only ONE god!!!!
That honor clearly goes to the FSM.
God the Father is one part of a triune God consisting of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one God. The Father does not exist apart form the Son and Spirit.
There seems to be a misunderstanding here. There IS only one God. He expresses Himself in three Persons. To help you understand this, consider the Greek Theater. Actors used to put on masks, or 'personae' to designate their character. In this way, one actor could play multiple roles in the play. One actor, three characters. Get it?
Yes. Father Odin is the One True God.
no because he is not and it will always be that way
I don't know about yours but my father was an ass... not a God! ;)
This question is UNBELIEVABLY subjective. Since every religion claims itself to be correct (or else why would anyone adhere?), the Christian god (I presume that's what this is asking about) can't be the only "true" god. (This does assume the actual, unproven existance of a deity or deities, of course.)
Dad isn't the "true" god - mom is.
Pretty silly poll - which will not in any way establish the "truth" - rather it will just divide everyone up into the neat little "us" and "those deluded, heathen, idol-worshipping sinful folk".
Why have more people voted no? What the ****?!

We can see in man’s history that Satan has worked hard to obscure God’s true identity,

Yeppers, Satan is a hard worker.

Jehovah is an English contrivance for the word for God that is so holy that they don't even speak i, they jeus acknowledge that it is the word for all powerful God. Since the English scholars had no idea how YHWH was pronounced they incerted vowels and the all powerful word for God became yahowah and somewhere along the line it became slurred into Jehovah. It would be something like a toddler calling their grandfather tappy instead of pappy. God The father is only one part of a triune God consisting of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one God not three seperate.

Would a Grandfather rather a toddler call him dude or guy?
We don't know exactly how Jesus was actually pronounced 2000 years ago in koine Greek or Hebrew either. Perhaps Yeshua or Yeheshua but we still pronounce the form that we are accustomed to. Some people stutter or talk with a wisp, but should not follow the tradition of substituting LORD for JHVH or YHWH either.

Is there something in the Bible that says something like that?
by Texasescimo on January 15th, 2010
"Behold Israel, the Lord your God is actually three different Gods who never disagree".

Rabid, here are a couple of articles about God's name and the removal of it from the Bible.

No disagreements. Jesus always obeyed God. Jesus always did everything for God's glory.
(Hebrews 5:8) Although he was a Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered;
(Matthew 26:39) And going a little way forward, he fell upon his face, praying and saying: “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me. Yet, not as I will, but as you will.”
(John 4:34) Jesus said to them: “My food is for me to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work.
(John 6:38) because I have come down from heaven to do, not my will, but the will of him that sent me.
(John 5:19) Therefore, in answer, Jesus went on to say to them: “Most truly I say to YOU, The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing. For whatever things that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner.
(John 5:30) I cannot do a single thing of my own initiative; just as I hear, I judge; and the judgment that I render is righteous, because I seek, not my own will, but the will of him that sent me.
(John 8:28-29) Therefore Jesus said: “When once YOU have lifted up the Son of man, then YOU will know that I am [he], and that I do nothing of my own initiative; but just as the Father taught me I speak these things. 29 And he that sent me is with me; he did not abandon me to myself, because I always do the things pleasing to him.”
(Philippians 2:8-11) More than that, when he found himself in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death, yes, death on a torture stake. 9 For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every [other] name, 10 so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, 11 and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
(John 14:28) YOU heard that I said to YOU, I am going away and I am coming [back] to YOU. If YOU loved me, YOU would rejoice that I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.
(1 Corinthians 11:3) But I want YOU to know that the head of every man is the Christ; in turn the head of a woman is the man; in turn the head of the Christ is God.
(2 Corinthians 1:3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort,
