It sucks being seen as the bad person when really you're just being the person who is rising above the drama and trying to stay away from toxic people. For me the biggest issue I have is with my father. I have to stay away until I know he gets better or makes effort to try to be decent. Family should love each other enough to want to be kind and not hurt each other but not everyone has that type of family and those of us who don't have no choice but to keep our distance.
