Personally, I like Christmas because I get presents(I am 14), but I really like Thanksgiving better. More food, more loving, less stress.

halloween .. or "samhain" as it's called .
samhain actually means "summers end " .
and is actually a Pagan newyears celebration .
many other cultures celebrate their day of the dead events on this day too .. hence they got intermingled with halloween when christianity tried to join in , not understanding the holiday at all, and figured it was a day of the dead type holiday so they dressed up as dead saints with blood etc .. and devils ,, and demons etc ...
all the blood and gore in halloween was brought in by christians .
then they denounce it ,, and blame us for it and call the newyear celebration "evil" .
    lol ... go figure ;-/

I love Halloween. I love the fact that you get to be someone else for the night. I hate Christmas. I was born on Christmas Eve and I hate it. I don't like the fact that Christmas isn't really about togetherness. All people care about is what present they are going to get. I sorta like like Thanksgiving, but only for the food.

    1. Halloween isn't an end-of-the-year holiday, as there are still two months left after it.

    2. You should include Hanukkah and Kwanzaa (we're not all Christian) and New Year's Eve, or at least an "other" option?

How can you not love a holiday where you're expected to eat massive quantities of delicious food for about 4 days straight? Plus all-day football games. Wow, if it wasn't real, someone would have to invent it.

I like Christmas the best!! =) Its all about family and close friends! Its special because I get to spend time with them, and also because of the religios reasons. And since its cold and snowy outside, its so great to snuggle up under some blankets infront of the fire with a special someone!!

I'd go with Halloween because there isn't any family drama, but the actual holiday is too hit-or-miss from year to year. Sometimes there is a fun Halloween event, others all I can find are generic dance parties.

Halloween is exciting if you're younger, or you have children who still participate (or if you're one of those cool people who go all out and enjoy it no matter what).

I'm not really a fan of Christmas at all, nothing really nice to say about it.

Thanksgiving is definitely my favorite. I enjoy the family getting together and taking the day to relax and enjoy themselves and each other. I dislike holidays, but if there is one that I will participate in, you bet it is this one.

    Christmas.

I like Halloween, too, but not everyone gets involved.

I think Christmas is funny because you see all kinds of people getting into it. It's especially funny to see men shopping and stressing over gifts. Not only that, it's really really weird that we buy things, hide them in packages, and watch someone open them up. Isn't that kinda strange? It's pretty comical. And who doesn't love sleeping in the living room, next to the Christmas tree and all the Christmas lights?

Also, not everyone dresses up for Halloween or gives out candy. Especially the people with political signs in their yard. Hey, what's up with that? Don't you politically-inclined see that the children are the future and you're ruining their holiday?!

Well I could only choose Thanksgiving (one of my favorites) however I personally prefer the beginning of the new year which you have designated as Dec 21st, the winter solstice, but it was NOT on the list I also like All Hollows Eve and we understand that one very differently as well ...

While Christmas, from a christian standpoint should be the the most celebrated, it has been commercialized to the point where the meaning is out shined by greed. Thanksgiving on the other-hand is less commercialized and encompasses all faiths (in the U.S.). We celebrate Thanksgiving by being grateful for what we have and sharing our love of family (to include our neighbors). Thanksgiving is the holiday I look forward to the most.

I think school ending is the most festive day. But Christmas is next best.

Halloween: irritates me, annoying little kids come to your house ask for candy then egg your house if you dont give them any. Spoilt brats. I salute anyone who doesn't do this BUT some halloweeners in our town have tarnished my view of Halloween.

Thanksgiving: Is not celebrated in our country

Christmas: OTT, lost its real meaning.

When I was a kid, Christmas was the best. Now it's Thanksgiving because it doesn't involve having to do a lot of gift shopping in crowded stores. I just go to a friend's house and eat a delicious meal. No fuss and no bother. Halloween was never a big deal in my family.
