Should there be someone on here who edits people's spelling and grammar errors in their questions, answers, and comments? Why or why not?

What if they were only "requested" fixes?

It could be helpful for some .. but I prefer to get to know people by how they express themselves. If everything is made to look "cookie cutter", that would just get too "antiseptic".

Respectfully, no. We are all old enough to do our own reviewing. While the accidental typo could get cleaned up, there is value (so to say) in seeing how others present their comments. One can usually tell the difference between someone who may not be familiar with English or accidentally leaves a typo versus others who truly use awful spelling and grammar. If the latter people do not care, let it reflect that way.

I think that would be too much work. That's why that caption appears at the bottom of your post; edit your answer.

When I log into AB using Firefox, all my questions and answers have a "spell checker".
It doesn't on IE8, not sure why.
