can my dog catch AIDS from human blood infected with the virus if licked? (i'm not infected but someone close is)

    I doubt it! AIDS starts off as HIV which stands for Human immunodeficiency virus. I think from that...It's just from Human to Human only.

    No. HIV can not be spread to, from, or by cats, dogs, birds, or other pets.
