    1) I don't understand why this question is asked as a poll, particularly with just one option.
    Also, please don't use the category to define the scope of your question, it could be recategorized.


    2) "A transaction considered to be a local transaction when it is a single-phase transaction and is handled by the database directly. Transactions are considered to be distributed transactions when they are coordinated by a transaction monitor and use fail-safe mechanisms (such as two-phase commit) for transaction resolution."
