WE all do it how do you compact your garbage to make room for more trash

My wife loves to flatten all boxes and milk containers before placing in the can and if the can is just fluffy full she will use her foot to compress it to make room does anyone else do this

    no..I just put it in the big bin at the back of the condo building...after sorting out the recyclables
