I was cheated by a company called "Shop Runner", what can I do?

I bought a toy from website of ToysRus which showed "free shipping", but one month later I was charged an expensive member fee! I was told that the "free shipping" was provided by a company called "Shop Runner". Once I ordered the toy, they recruited me into their membership at their willing. In small font which uneasy to be noticed, they said first month is trial period and free. However, after this so called "free period", if customers didn't call the "Shop Runner" to cancel membership, they will automatically be treated as continuing membership and charged fees!!
I'm angry and confused:
1. if customer didn't reply whether "continue" or "cancel" the membership after so called "free trial", it should be treated as "canceled", but why they still able to charge me fees?
2. Even charged, they should send reminders to customers earlier. But actually, "Shop Runner" sent email only two days before trial ends;
3. Only "free shipping" was showed when I purchased in toysrus.com. Customers are misguided to think it's only a promotion by ToysRus, while the truth is the tricky membership hidden behind, which organized by both ToysRus and Shop Runner.
What can I do? Do I need to look for a lawyer?

    I just went onto the ToysRUs website and saw the offer you are talking about.
    Looks like the shoprunner offer is very clear. Free trial followed by a paid membership. The fact you got a reminder email is amazing - very few companies send a reminder, because they don't have to. Kudos to ToysRUs and shoprunner here.

    technically no lots of things do free first month and if you don't cancel it it just continues on and they did send you an email so you probably wouldn't win a case most don't even send that. it is unfair but theres nothing you can really do just be careful next time and read everything if it says free its probably to good to be true you could probably try and call and bitch at either company and maybe get the money back thats about it
