    There are some people who support slavery but it doesn't happen anymore.

    if slavery is defined by violent force than war is defined by swords and arrows and as such we do not have war. just because the current tool for subjugating people is economics does not mean it is not slavery. the difference between a slavery and liberty is the word "gainful". when people are working their asses off just to stay broke so the goa'uld executives can boast of record profits it is slavery.

    I do not think all men are to be equal. different people contribute different ammounts and should be compensated similarily... but the laborers contribute a HELL OF A LOT more than they are being compensated for, but the person who sets the wages personaly benefits by paying laborers less than they are truely worth.

    for decades average executive wages were about 40 times average american wages, by the end of clintons reign they peaked at an unsustainable 300 times and have only dropped below 100 for a couple months since... low wages for the masses are the CAUSE of this economic colapse, not the result of it.
