from my exerience with burping my little brother when he was a baby, i would say NOT terry. it absorbs very well and goes right through to the clothing. kitchen terry, if it is what i am thinking it is, is the best choice out of those, but we used to buy really thick, cheap pillow cases and use them. it might sound weird, but there will be two layers and the material is normally absorbent enough so that nothing will spill off, but not so absorbent that it reaches your clothing. hope i helped :)
