I want to be a Marine when I grow up so I really want to join the Young Marines. The only problem is that I am in Boy Scouts currently and a First Class Rank. I know that being an Eagle Scout gets you promotion points but the Young Marines seem more Marine like. Also my dad loves scouting and he would be pretty mad if he herd me say, i'll just drop scouts and join the Young Marines. Should I say a boy scout or switch to the Young Marines?

My 6 year old son wants to join Boy Scouts, however I am an atheist and he is , as yet "undecided." Does anyone know if he will still be allowed to join? He's not an atheist.
